Jenna Ortega is back on our screens. This time, she's starring in a smaller production than her most recent projects, still delivering a performance that fits perfectly well in the types of roles we've come to associate with her in the past.
This year, Ortega starred in "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," one of the year's biggest films alongside Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton, and more. Early next year she's starring in "Death of a Unicorn," a comedy produced by A24.
Ortega stars alongside Paul Rudd in a story that follows a dad and his daughter on a weekend retreat. The catch is that on their way there, the two run over a unicorn, with their mistake having grand implications for the larger group.
“A father (Rudd) and daughter (Ortega) accidentally hit and kill a unicorn while en route to a weekend retreat, where his billionaire boss (Richard E. Grant) seeks to exploit the creature’s miraculous curative properties," reads the film's official synopsis.
The trailer shows Rudd and Ortega committing their crime and then trying to get away with it as they arrive to the retreat, where they're surrounded by all manner of larger personalities, played by an exciting cast rounded out by Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani and Jessica Hynes
