Every year, critics and viewers celebrate the Emmy nominees. Every year, they also mourn all of the lost potential. While the Emmy Awards are built to reward the best performances, movies, and TV shows made for the small screen, a lot of great work slips through the cracks.

Selena Gomez
There’s a lot of overlap in the Emmy and Golden Globes’ nominees list, which is why many where surprised that Selena Gomez wasn’t nominated today. The actress plays Mabel in “Only Murders in the Building,” providing some Millennial perspective on the series.
Diego Luna
While “Andor” got some important nominations for best drama series and for its craft, Diego Luna, the series’ lead, didn’t get any recognition. The show is coming back for another season, so maybe next year!
Emma D’Arcy
Emma D’Arcy was nominated for their work in “House of the Dragon” at the Golden Globes, where the series took home the best drama of the year award. While “House of the Dragon” was nominated as best series in the Emmys, D’Arcy’s work was snubbed and is pivotal in making the story tick.
Olivia Cooke
Olivia Cooke, who also stars in “House of the Dragon,” hasn’t been recognized over awards season. She plays a pivotal piece in the series and has the tough job of making the one of the show’s thorniest characters into someone you can watch make horrible decisions for ages.
Kevin Costner
Kevin Costner’s role in “Yellowstone” has been pivotal in making the series one of the most watched programs on television. Despite the fact that it’s a beloved property for viewers of all ages, “Yellowstone” is nearing its end and won’t likely see any nominations in any categories.
Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford had a big year on TV, starring in series like “Shrinking” and “1923.” While the first series was nominated for various awards, the latter was snubbed entirely.
