Stacey Abrams is elected president of the United Earth in ‘Star Trek’ but not everyone is thrilled

Abrams has been vocal about a possible candidacy by 2040, as she would like to serve as president of the United States.

Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams surprised fans of Star Trek: Discovery after making a surprise appearance on the seson finale of the popular TV show, portraying the president of the United Earth.

The viewers watched Abrams, who is currently running for Governor in Georgia, saying the line, “United Earth is ready right now to rejoin the Federation – and nothing could make me happier than to say those words.”

Fans of the show seemed to have divided reactions after seeing Abramns make a cameo on the show, and while most of the comments were positive, some online users showed their disapproval, including Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Abrams has been vocal about a possible presidential candidacy by 2040, as she would like to serve as president of the United States. She has also revealed to be a big fan of Star Trek, even requesting one condition to take on the role, “She wanted to be able to just watch it and enjoy when the show finally came out. So, yeah, we avoided all the spoilers.”

It was reported that the cast was absolutly thrilled to have Abrams as part of the season finale of the show. “I’m still floored when I think about Stacey gracing us with her presence in our Season 4 finale,” ‘Discovery’ star Sonequa Martin-Green said.
