Camila reposts Shawn’s sweet supportive message.

In an interview with Apple Music, Camila talked about her album and some of the inspiration behind it.

“I was really inspired by when I saw C. Tangana’s Tiny Desk, shout out to C. Tangana because I’m a huge fan of his, and he’s doing the tiny desk at this dinner table and he’s got people around him and there’s like half eaten food on the table. That’s the life I’m trying to have,” she said.

Camila recently helped Shawn Mendes with his new song, which he made in collaboration with Camilo. The song, called ‘Kesi,’ features Shawn speaking Spanish, something that he initially thought was intimidating. According to Shawn, Camila was in the studio ensuring he was pronouncing the words correctly. “If you‘re going to do this, you got to do it right. You can’t be saying these words wrong,” she said.

Camila has also been vocal of her support for the protests that are occurring in Cuba due to power outages, food and medicine shortages.
