Adrienne Bailon Houghton should release an album covering salsa classics because the girl can sing anything. The former Cheetah Girl jumped on stage to sing “Ese Hombre” during La India’s Mi Trayectoria Tour 2021. Houghton’s vocals were impeccable, and neither the audience nor the Puerto Rican award-winning singer couldn’t stop praising her.

After the magical moment, Adrienne took social media to share with her millions of followers the moment she fulfilled one of her dreams. “WOW WOW WOW,” the tv host began, adding a crying face emoji. “I don’t even know what to say… I’m honestly still in shock. I don’t have the words… but I’ll try. @yosoylaindia is hands down my favorite singer of all time. I’ve been completely obsessed with her since I was 12 years old. I bought her cds, watched every banco popular concert (somos un solo pueblo) - for her! - I even named my first LLC “puraflama” from her singing “mamá borinquen.”

According to Houghton, who grew up in New York, she always tried to be the first one in line every time La India had a concert. “I’ve stood for hours in Central Park & the south street seaport - just to get a good spot to see her in concert! I begged my parents to take me to “el con concierto de amor” at MSG… & SO MUCH MORE!” she revealed. “I have adored this woman for years! Her incredible voice, her bomb songs & just how dope & down to earth she has always seemed. But then I get to meet her… and sing with her?! WHAT?! I am beyond overwhelmed with what a beautiful person she is, inside & out!”

Adrienne also said the opportunity is a highlight in her life. “This is a moment in my life… that I will NEVER FORGET… and In the moment I didn’t care about being cool or honestly even what I sounded like… I WAS LIVING MY DREAM!” she wrote. “And cried like a baby with my sister @claudettebailonon the side of the stage after. Low key crying typing this lol. The point is… dreams do come true. Don’t stop dreaming.”

According to the 37-year-old Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian descent born in the Lower East Side of New York City, she even got the chance to interact with La India before taking the stage.

La India congratulated Adrienne and said, “you killed it!!!” The Emmy Award-winning host and founder of XIXI and La Voute said, “Tonight was a life long dream come true! Still shaking. Still so grateful & beyond honored. Love you! My favorite singer of all time… I’m gonna wake up tomorrow & cry all over again! Lol. 😘🙏🏽😭”
