Every Friday, we highlight the newest and most exciting releases from artists across all genres. This week, we got a ton of new music from artists we hear from all the time, along with those we’ve been waiting for new music from for years, including names like Nicki Minaj, Bad Bunny, Vince Staples, and more.
Check out some of the most highly-anticipated drops down below:
1. Sech and Jhay Cortez - “911 - Remix”
Sech is building on the success of his smash hit “911” by tapping fellow reggaeton superstar Jhay Cortez for an electrifying remix.
The multi-platinum Latin GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter has been dominating international music charts all year, with “911” debuting in the Top 50 of Spotify’s global Top 200 list. The music video for the brand new remix, which also features Cortez, was shot in the city of Miami and directed by acclaimed director Unenano.
2. Vince Staples - Vince Staples
Just like his 2018 release FM!, Vince Staples teamed up with producer Kenny Beats on his new self titled album, Vince Staples. Beside some guest vocals from Fousheé on “Take Me Home,” there aren’t any features on the 10-song project, which is only fitting for how personal the rapper gets on this project.
“This project really gives much more information about me that wasn’t out there before,” Staples said in a press release. “That’s why I went with that title. I feel like I’ve been trying to tell the same story. As you go on in life, your point of view changes. This is another take on myself that I might not have had before.”
3. Jennifer Lopez & Rauw Alejandro - “Cambia El Paso”
After teasing fans with its release for the past few days, Jennifer Lopez and Rauw Alejandro finally premiered the music video for their hit single, “Cambia El Paso.”
Filmed in Miami by renowned Dominican director Jessy Terrero, this visual proves that J.Lo is not only one of the most legendary dancers of all time, but also one of the most innovative artists in the game. Rauw makes his presence felt, too, showing off the dancing skills that have helped make him one of the most well-rounded artists to come up in recent years.
4. Mora x Bad Bunny x Sech - “Volando – Remix”
Rising singer, songwriter, and music producer Mora enlisted the help of two of the biggest names in music, Bad Bunny and Sech, for the remix to his hit, “Volando.”
Mora has caught the attention of many for his previous collaborations with Bad Bunny, including his smash hit with Jhay Cortez, “Dákiti.” Now, he’s turning his latest release into what’s sure to be one of the biggest songs this summer with a new remix.
