Best-selling and award-winning musician Juan Luis Guerra will debut “Entre Mar Y Palmeras,” a historic concert from the beautiful and lush beaches of Miches, located in the eastern region of the Dominican Republic. Starting Thursday, June 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET, fans will stream the concert on HBO Latino and later on HBO Max.
Fans will enjoy Guerra’s biggest hits and the smooth waves and beautiful palm trees of this incredible Caribbean location. The renowned Dominican composer, musician, producer, and singer shot the session accompanied by his legendary band, 440, during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Guerra’s team, the over 75 crew members, 20 musicians, and a dozen assistant crew members followed strict safety and social distancing protocols.
With the concert special, Juan Luis Guerra’s goal is to bring joy to all Latin Americans during these difficult times.
To continue the fiesta, fans can enjoy other specials including “Piano y mujer” (2021), “Havana Street Party Presents: Beatriz Luengo” (2021), “Diego Torres Sinfónico” (2020), “Shakira in Concert: El Dorado World Tour” (2020), as well as “Havana Street Party Presents: Orishas” (2019) and the “En Letra de Otro” series featuring Farruko (2019), Gente de Zona (2018), and Pedro Capó (2017).
Fellow Dominican and Bachata singer, Romeo Santos, also announced his upcoming concert film Romeo Santos: Utopia Live From MetLife Stadium and documentary film Romeo Santos: The King of Bachata. The concert film will focus on the Dominican singer’s historical record-breaking performance at the MetLife Stadium.
While the documentary film will present the history of Bachata with the musical legacy of Romeo Santos, the chronicles will also follow Santos as he travels the countryside, performing for free on his “La Gira del Pueblo” tour as a gift to the people living in small towns and villages in the Dominican Republic, and that never had the chance to enjoy their idol singing live in a concert.
