The wait is over! The Walt Disney Company has released a new trailer and poster for its all-new live-action feature film   Cruella . The movie, starred by Academy Award-winners Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, and directed by Craig Gillespie, will be available on Disney+ Premier Access and simultaneously in theaters on Friday, May 28.

Stone, in her role as Cruella de Vil, a fictional character that kidnaps Dalmatian puppies for their fur, can be seen as one of the most rebellious, notorious, and fashionable villains.

Set in the 1970s in London during the punk rock revolution, Cruella follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. According to the brief, the sinister pop-culture icon and befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they can build a life for themselves on the London streets.

One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly Haute, played by two-time Oscar winner Emma Thompson.

Their relationship becomes rocky and sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous and revenge-bent Cruella, famously known as a symbol of greed, vanity, and evil.

Disney’s Cruella is a screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara; the story is written by Aline Brosh McKenna, Kelly Marcel, and Steve Zissis. It was produced by Andrew Gunn, Marc Platt, and Kristin Burr, with Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff, and Glenn Close serving as executive producers.
