Anna Paquin has opened up about the possibility of joining the new cast of True Blood, despite her not knowing about the upcoming reboot.

The successful actress portrayed the iconic role of Sookie Stackhouse for seven seasons, alongside the actor Stephen Moyer, who played Bill Compton.

The on-screen couple quickly fell in love and got married in 2010, and they now share two adorable twins Charlie and Poppy.

Plans for the reboot were announced in December, with the original cast of the HBO TV series being in the dark about the new project.

Anna insisted during her most recent interview that “not a single member of the (original) cast or crew knew anything about it,” adding how they “literally all found out on Twitter.“

It was also announced that Alan Ball, the original creator of the show, will also be involved in the new project.

Although the 38-year-old actress doesn’t know “what the concept is,” she believes the new show could be as successful as the original, because it’s composed of a “rich world.”

“The reason I feel like reboots and reimaginings do so well is that there‘s an endless number of stories you can tell,” highlighting the fact that “there’s no limit in genre stuff.”

Anna says she wouldn’t think about it twice if there was a possibility for her character to make a comeback, confessing that her journey in True Blood made “some of the best years of most of our lives for the cast and crew,” even describing them as “family.”
