Thursday, April 25 is the big night! The 2019 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The gala, which recognizes the most outstanding Latin musical artists of the year, will be attended by many big names who will wow viewers with their performances and acceptance speeches. Among them is Marc Anthony, who is hoping to take home an award in the category for Tropical Artist of the Year; he will also perform during the ceremony.

Colombian artist Sebastián Yatra has also confirmed he’ll be performing some of his greatest hits at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Sebastián has been put forward in the categories Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Soloist, and Pop Album of the Year for Mantra.

Will it be Shakira's big night?

Colombian superstar Shakira might become the woman with the most Billboard Latin Music Awards of 2019, after scoring four nominations.

She is being considered in the categories of Latin Pop Artist of the Year Soloist, Tour of the Year, Top Latin Artist of the Year Female and Latin Pop Song of the Year for her collaboration with Maluma - the hit song Clandestino.

J Balvin is up for 13 gongs

Colombian singer J Balvin has an impressive total of 13 Billboard Latin Music Awards nominations, setting him up to be one of the grand favorites of the night. He could take home awards for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Hot Latin Song of the Year, Top Latin Album of the Year, Latin Rhythm Album of the Year, among others.

Boston native Nicky Jam has the same amount of nominations as J Balvin. Among his slew of possible wins, he is being considered for Airplay Song of the Year, Hot Latin Song of the Year, Hot Latin Vocal Collaboration of the Year. Also for Streaming Song of the Year, Digital Song of the Year and Tropical Song of the Year.

Will Ozuna be the big winner?

The Puerto Rican singer is predicted to be the big star of the Billboard Latin Music Awards for his epic number of 23 nominations in 15 different categories.

His nods include Artist of the Year; Song of the Year, Airplay; Hot Latin Song of the Year; Top Latin Album of the Year; Latin Pop Song of the Year, among others. Ozuna will also be one of the artists in charge of spicing up the ceremony with some of his performances.

El Farsante and Sobedosis, his collaborations with Ozuna, will no doubt be part of his set list.

Daddy Yankee will no doubt be hoping to repeat the success he enjoyed at last year's Billboard Latin Music Awards. This year he has eight nominations and he'll also be taking to the stage to entertain viewers and atendees.

He'll be vying for success in categories including Aritst of the Year, Song of the Year, Digital Song of the Year and Airplay Song of the Year.

Colombian legend Carlos Vives - who also has snapped up a handful of nominations - will be singing on the big night. the Santa Marta native has been shortlisted in the categories Tropical Song of the Year and Tropical Artist of the Year, Solo. He's expected to get audiences dancing to the rhythm of his hit Hoy Tengo Tiempo.
