Breakup? What breakup? Rumors that Gerard Piqué and Clara Chía had split hit the internet like wildfire on Thursday, April 24, but according to sources close to the couple, it’s all completely false. Insiders spoke with ¡HOLA! and didn’t mince words: “It’s all a lie.” Apparently, not only are Piqué and Chía still together after three years, but they’re thriving, even after surviving a whirlwind of public scrutiny and tabloid drama.

Despite Telecinco’s morning show tossing out breakup claims earlier in the day, ¡HOLA! doubled back and got the real tea: the couple is fine. Sources say the duo is “tired of all the fake news” being churned out about their relationship. Since going public in August 2022, the ex-Barcelona defender and his younger Catalan girlfriend have been under a constant spotlight. And despite the noise, they’ve kept things solid. Rumors may come and go, but for now, Piqué and Chía are still very much a couple.

Earlier Confusion Over Piqué and Clara Chía's Relationship Status

When ex-footballer Gerard Piqué and PR student Clara Chía made things official in August 2022, the world collectively raised an eyebrow. After all, this was the relationship that followed his very public and messy breakup with global pop icon Shakira. Now, less than two years later, it looks like Piqué and Chía have hit the off switch.

The news broke during the Spanish TV show "Vamos a ver" in a segment hosted by Adriana Dorronsoro, who claimed exclusively that the couple is officially done. The reveal sent a wave of "Wait, what?" through the show's panel. But then things got juicy. Dorronsoro teased that a third party might be involved, but she's still chasing that lead.

Meanwhile, fellow journalist Pepe del Real offered a totally different take. According to his sources, it wasn't cheating but clashing priorities. Clara reportedly wanted to start a family, but Piqué did not. And in relationships, "we're not on the same page" is usually just a few chapters away from "we're done."

Trouble in Paradise

Just a month ago, Piqué was spotted at an ice cream shop in Miami with a redheaded mystery woman. Add that to the backdrop of ongoing Shakira-fueled drama, and you start to see the cracks.

Let's not forget that Piqué and Chía's love story began under a cloud of controversy, thanks to some very pointed lyrics from Shakira's post-breakup bangers. Ever since, the couple's been doing emotional damage control.

Shakira's Mic Drop Moment

As if all this wasn't enough drama for one breakup, Shakira herself has been busy narrating her heartbreak on a stadium tour. Her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" World Tour has become a confessional booth of sorts, where she's been throwing elegant yet icy shade at Piqué and Chía from center stage.

She even dropped a ballad titled "Última" (The Last One). It's raw, it's emotional, and critics are already calling it one of the standout tracks on her album.

Gossip guru Jordi Martín, the unofficial town crier of "El Gordo y la Flaca," confirmed that Piqué and Chía didn't love the lyrical heat. In fact, he said the pair felt humiliated by Shakira's very public, very catchy breakup chronicles.

So, if the reports are accurate about differing life goals, this might actually be the end of the road for Piqué and Clara Chía.
