Joshua Jackson, known by many for his breakout role as Pacey Witter on Dawson's Creek, has shared where he stands with his former co-star and ex, Katie Holmes. The two starred together on the beloved series that ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2003, and Jackson recently discussed their relationship on the new episode of Dinner's on Me, hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
During the conversation, the actor revealed that they remain close despite the years since the show ended and their history together. “Busy [Philipps] and Michelle [Williams] are very, very close. And Katie and I are very close,” Jackson explained, adding that while they don’t stay in constant contact, their bond is undeniable.
“We don’t always talk every day, sometimes not even weekly, monthly, or even semi-annually,” Jackson admitted. “But when you're together, there's always that moment, like, 'I know you know.'"
The actor also reflected on how significant life events have cemented his relationships with his former castmates. “There are moments in life that are shared with very few people, and other than your husband or partner, there’s probably no one else you’re as forged to. You’ve gone through the good, the bad, the happy, and the tough times.”
Holmes, who portrayed Joey Potter on the series also opened up about her ongoing relationships with her co-stars in a recent interview. "We text every now and then," she shared last June. However, she admitted she was unaware of a long-running Dawson’s Creek WhatsApp group chat. “I’m really bad at WhatsApp. I never check it because it’s a little too much," she said.
The two stars dated briefly during the early years of Dawson’s Creek, from 1998 to 1999, but continued working together until the series concluded in 2003. Since then, both actors have moved on to different chapters in their lives.
