In a sweet fashion moment, Kelly Ripa and her daughter, Lola Consuelos, offered a glimpse into their mother-daughter relationship and style dynamics. During a candid interview, the media personality and the singer talked about their love and appreciation for each other for People’s 2025 World's Most Beautiful issue.
Lola, who shares a close bond with her mother, revealed that she was the mastermind behind their coordinated outfits for the photoshoot, encouraging her mom to step out of her comfort zone.
"Today was a special occasion. Lola asked me to put on [the] skirt [she's wearing] and I said, 'I just cannot,’” she said, referring to her daughter's shorter gray pleated skirt. “Simply cannot. Past a certain age, you got to know when to hang up your disco shoes," she added.
She continued, "There are so many things that I just can't or won't wear. I'm literally making a list in my head. I really try not to, at this age, [wear mini skirts]—and especially since I spend most of my time sitting in a stool or a desk, I try to wear longer skirts.”
The fan-favorite TV host went on to reveal that her daughter likes to borrow her clothes and takes photos with her “tank tops, T-shirts, a lot of blazers, lots of jewelry, belts, and handbags” on social media.
Despite having a different style, Ripa praised her daughter for her confidence and her looks. “I remember being [Lola’s] age and hitting all the vintage shops and really being able to work with what I found there,” she said.
"You always look sophisticated, but definitely youthful and rock n' roll and all of the things I wish I was brave enough to do when I was your age, but never had the courage to pull off," the media personality added.
