It’s hard to imagine a marriage without a hint of disagreement, but this seems to be the reality for George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney. Despite being together for over a decade, the Hollywood star and the human rights lawyer have revealed that they have never had an argument during their marriage.
In a recent interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, George looked back at a 2022 interview where he said they had never had a single fight in the years they had been together. The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Venice in 2014, continue their romantic love story years after their marriage, and after welcoming their twins, Alexander and Ella.
The couple welcomed their kids in 2017, and they have been open about their relationship dynamic and parenthood journey. "Amal and I, we’ve never had an argument," George shared during the interview. "We’re trying to find something to fight about, but we just can't seem to."
The actor continued, "I feel like the luckiest man in the world every day. I hit the jackpot when I met this incredible woman." Amal echoed this sentiment in a previous conversation, admitting that their friends sometimes find it baffling. "It’s maddening to some of our friends," she confessed in 2022.
“I have a cousin, actually, every time we see him he's like, his first question is, 'So have you had an argument yet?' before he says hello," Amal said. Meanwhile, in response to Gayle King’s disbelief over their perfect track record, George jokingly offered, “Would you like us to argue right now? Would that make you feel better?”
"When you're 61, which apparently I am... As you get older, you're kind of looking at things a little differently," George previously told E! News. “We agree on most things," he added.
It seems their deep connection is built on mutual respect, admiration, and a shared understanding of one another’s values. As they approach 11 years of marriage, their bond remains unshaken, with Amal supporting him during his Broadway debut, which has already broken records.
