Malia Obama, known lover of menswear, has added another look to her roster. The eldest daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama was spotted over the weekend in Los Angeles, wearing an oversized blazer look that she mixed with other elements for a casual yet distinctive outfit.
Malia was photographed wearing an oversized navy blazer that she paired with a white button-up, baggy jeans, and black boots. To add some lines to her look, she threw in a crossbody tote bag.
She was photographed wearing large white headphones, wearing her hair braided and red, a color she's maintained for the past couple of years.
Over the past few years, Malia has been attending various professional events and has been spotted on numerous outings. While she likes to try out various styles and outfits, she's developed a preference for blazers, jackets, and drapey pants, making her a great reference for anyone who's trying to find some inspiration for outfits that revolve around suits and jackets.
More of Malia's spring looks
In late March, Malia was photographed wearing a different version of an oversized accessory. On one outing, she opted for a beige trench coat, which she paired with a tight white t-shirt, and a plaid skirt. Adding even more personality to her look were the red boots she wore, which reached just under her knee.
Malia wore the same cross-body tote and wore her hair curly and loose, with a couple of braids on the front of her head to add some texture to the look.
Last month, Michelle Obama talked about the pressures that her daughters had to deal with when growing up in front of the spotlight. “We’d have to build a real community of trust around them because I didn’t want them sitting home on Saturday night not understanding what it was like to be out and have a life before they went to college,” she said on the podcast "Not Gonna Lie," hosted by Kylie Kelce.
Both Malia and Sasha are now living in Los Angeles, where they're pursuing their careers. They're often photographed spending time with each other, whether they're going on lunches with friends or going to some of the biggest concerts of the season.
