Demi Moore is revealing what went through her mind on Oscar night. The actress was nominated for her first Oscar for her work in "The Substance" in the night's most competitive race. After winning the Golden Globe and the SAG Award, Moore ended up losing the Oscar to Mikey Madison, the lead star of "Anora."

It's a moment that was heavily discussed on social media, with many believing that Moore was robbed of an opportunity she deserved following a lengthy career in Hollywood. In a conversation with Ryan Murphy for TIME100, Moore revealed she had a "premonition" that she'd lose the award.

“I leaned over and whispered to my manager, ‘I think it’s going to Mikey,’” she said.

“I don’t know why I knew, but I did,” Moore continued. “I was so centered and calm. I didn’t feel gutted. I didn’t feel any of those kinds of things. I just trusted, and am in trust of, whatever is going to unfold.”

What the future holds for Moore

Moore revealed that while the loss is always painful for the ego and the human part of her, the notoriety she received throughout the past year thanks to her work has changed her outlook on her career and provided her with exciting new possibilities.

“To go from the beginning of this last year feeling like I was never part of the conversation to being acknowledged in a critical way for my work has just allowed me to open up my belief in greater possibilities,” she said.

While she's wary of putting too much strain on the future, for the time being, these possibilities include a likely movie with Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Erivo, various exciting films and TV shows in production, and a spot on TIME100's prestigious list for the year's most influential people.
