Aleska Génesis is back—and this time, it’s on her own terms. The Venezuelan model returned to the La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars stage on Tuesday night, exactly one month after she was arrested on set, just moments after becoming the fifth person eliminated from the show.

In March, Aleska was taken into custody by Mexican authorities over theft accusations tied to casino mogul Francisco Javier Rodríguez Borgio, aka “The Casino Czar.” But earlier this month, those charges were dropped—and she walked back onto the Telemundo stage not just cleared but celebrated.

“I’m not coming back like the person who left,” she shared on social media before her return. “I’m coming back as someone who’s been reborn," she wrote, teasing an emotional sit-down interview with herself. Dressed in two different looks, Aleska played both interviewer and interviewee, opening up about her childhood in Maracaibo and the violence she experienced in a past relationship.

She even got candid about suicidal thoughts she had, saying her ex just pretended it didn't happen and took her home. "After the silence, I speak my truth,” she said. “Because after pain comes light.”

When it came to her arrest, she got candid: “I cried uncontrollably. I felt it was unfair. I asked God not to leave me alone.” She said she’s not looking for revenge—only peace.

The model showed off the ring gifted to her by fellow contestant Luca Onestini, saying it became a symbol of resilience during her legal fight. Aleska also revealed she still has hope for love. She’s since split from Clovis Nienow but says her heart is open—“as long as that person has a beautiful heart, beyond their physical appearance or their achievements; the most important thing is what that person has in their heart."

After everything, she wants to be remembered as someone who didn’t back down. “A woman, who like the phoenix, rose from the ashes,” she said. “I want people to believe in themselves the way I had to.”

Aleska was welcomed back to the show with applause—and made time to reconnect with both eliminated castmates and those still inside the house, who knew she’d been arrested, but not what really went down.

Getting her life back

Aleska was acquitted of the charges against her on April 10, and the first thing she would do was pick up her passport, which had been confiscated to prevent her from leaving the country while the legal process continued. “I was scared of losing my U.S. residency if I stayed too long outside the United States,” she said. “But I’m good now.”

She made a quick trip to Miami last week to reunite with her family and cuddle her dogs. As a routine procedure, she was briefly held for questioning at the airport when she landed in Miami, but she explained, “They didn’t even ask me anything,” she said. “It was just a check.”

And just like that, Aleska is free. And she’s telling her story.
