William Levy’s name started trending this morning after news broke that he had been arrested. As confirmed by ¡HOLA! a few hours ago, the actor has been released after posting a $500 bail. He was facing charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Once out of the detention center, where he spent the night, Levy gave his first public comments on the situation.
Levy was arrested in Florida and spent the night in Broward County jail. Outside the jail, Levy addressed reporters who were waiting for him. While he kept things vague, he denied rumors that he had physically assaulted a restaurant employee: “No, no—come on, there are cameras,” he told El Gordo y La Flaca.
Levy also pushed back on claims that he was acting aggressively: “I tried to stay calm the whole time. In the end, I was the one who had to leave,” he said. When asked about the trespassing charge, he added: “Well, they had to take me in for something.”
The actor also denied that the whole thing started because he refused to pay the bill: “No, no, of course not.” He stayed upbeat about the night he spent in custody, joking, “It was normal, normal. I don’t know if I made great friends, but I did meet some new people.”
After his release, Levy was picked up by his brother-in-law and is now home with his two kids, Kailey and Christopher. The incident happened in Broward, and according to court documents, things escalated at a local restaurant where Levy allegedly got into a physical altercation with an employee.
This isn’t the first time Levy has had a run-in with the law. Back in October 2023, police were called to his home following a heated argument with then-partner Elizabeth Gutiérrez. That incident also reportedly involved excessive alcohol use.
