Mariah Carey crashes son's Livestream — Here's how he reacted

It all started like any other gaming stream

Mariah Carey just pulled the most iconic mom move of all time: She accidentally hijacked her 13-year-old son's Twitch stream. The 56-year-old music legend made an unexpected cameo on Moroccan Cannon's live broadcast Thursday, and the internet got a front-row seat to one of the most hilariously relatable parenting moments ever.

It all started like any other gaming stream. Moroccan, wearing a Kirby beanie and vibing from what looked like his bedroom, was live on Twitch under the username curlyhairrocky, a space where he shares his gaming life and tries to build his presence on Twitch and YouTube.

Then, he suddenly muted his mic to talk to someone off-camera. A few seconds later, he popped back in and said, "Sorry, chat… my mom is here."

Cue the twin sister Monroe casually walking through the background, and then the actual Mariah Carey crouching into the frame with a dog in her arms. Casual chaos.

The chat lost it, and so did Moroccan

"Y'all need to get out, now," Moroccan pleaded, already holding his head in his hands while his live chat exploded with fan messages like: "HII MARIAH I LOVE YOU, " "hi Ms. Carey" and "is that actually Mariah Carey???"

Yes. Yes, it was.

After waving to the fans and briefly talking, Mariah was clearly feeling the moment. Moroccan, on the other hand, was not. "Can y'all please get out? Get out of my room!" he begged again.

He could still be heard saying, "Bro, get out. Oh my God. I love you, mom. Shut the door, please!"

Honestly, this entire interaction needs to be framed as a parenting time capsule: a teen boy trying to build his brand, and his mom, who happens to be a literal Christmas queen and global, completely blowing up his stream without even trying.

The internet reacts: "She's just an embarrassing mom"

As clips from the stream started circulating, one viral post on X summed it up perfectly: "This is so funny because Mariah Carey is one of the greatest singers of all time and to bro she's just an embarrassing mom."

For the record, this isn't Mariah's first time stepping into her kids' digital world. When she teamed up with Fortnite last year, she told People that Moroccan actually got her into the game. "I was watching my son play Fortnite for the longest time, and then he taught me how to play," she said.

So yes, the woman with five octaves and multiple Grammy wins now knows her way around a battle royale. But according to her son, she might need a crash course in Twitch etiquette.

Who is curlyhairrocky?

On his Twitch "about" page, Moroccan keeps it real. "Yes, I am Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's son, please stop asking."

He describes himself as "a 13-year-old streamer who is just trying to get big on Twitch and YouTube."

The twins, Moroccan and Monroe, were born in 2011 to Mariah and Nick Cannon, who finalized their divorce in 2016. Since then, the family has remained close, with both parents actively involved in their kids' lives and, apparently, their online content, too.
