At 52, Oscar De La Hoya isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to self-care. The retired boxing champ and Golden Boy Promotions founder is fully embracing modern skincare treatments to slow down the aging process—and he’s not gatekeeping any of it.

Oscar De La Hoya is doing what he can to maintain a youthful glow

De La Hoya shared a video on Tuesday showing himself post-procedure, his face visibly red, swollen, and healing from a CO2 laser treatment. The popular resurfacing procedure removes layers of damaged skin to reveal a fresher, smoother complexion.

“What’s up, guys? a little hyperbaric chamber. Don’t worry, I didn’t get burned, just a laser 'cause my skin will look like glass,” he said with a maniacal laugh.

He captioned the post, “These lasers only making me younger and cuter… sorry fellas.” He added, “CO2 laser + hyperbaric chamber = sexy papichulo by next week.”

CO2 lasers work by targeting the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production, improving everything from texture to fine lines. The treatment requires some downtime, but De La Hoya seems more than ready to deal with the healing phase in exchange for that post-peel papichulo payoff.

He even promised to share the after pics in the comments and made sure to be real about the cost. “I’ll be posting a before and after. It’s freaking crazy how you can turn the clock back inside and out. Obviously it takes money, but when you have it, why not!!!!” he wrote.

Adding to his high-tech routine? Time in a hyperbaric chamber, which boosts oxygen levels in the body to accelerate healing, reduce inflammation, and promote cell regeneration. He was masked up inside the chamber, cracking jokes with a giggling woman next to him—likely his girlfriend, Holly Sonders

In an industry where celebrities—especially men—tend to keep beauty treatments under wraps, it’s refreshing to see the knockout star so open about his routine.

It makes for great content, too. His most-viewed reel is from January 31, post-CO2 laser treatment, with 11.5 million views. The video wasn’t even about the process—he was announcing new fighters signed to Golden Boy—but his face was getting all the attention.

There’ve been some hilarious comments every time he posts a post-laser update, like “Thought this was Deadpool” and “Looking like a honey-baked ham on Christmas.” But clearly, it’s working for him. And plenty of fans have his back—one user wrote, “Hahaha love to see Oscar’s posts! Y’all need to stop hating on him!! He’s retired and living his best life... enjoy the process, champ.”
