George Clooney is celebrating one of his biggest accomplishments with the important people in his life. On the opening night of his Broadway debut "Good Night, and Good Luck," Clooney took many photos with all manner of celebrities, including his former "ER" cast mates.
The photo, shared on Instagram by Clooney's former co-star Noah Wyle, shows a part of the starting cast of "ER," the medical drama that went on to last 15 seasons. The series became the second longest medical drama on network television following "Grey's Anatomy."
The photo shows Clooney with his newly dyed dark hair, Julianna Margulies, Anthony Edwards, and Wyle. "So very proud of my friend. So very happy for the reunion," Wyle captioned the post.
"ER" served as the launching pad for the careers of all four actors, who went on to form some amazing careers in television.
Margulies is known for her work in shows like "The Good Wife" and "The Morning Show," while Edwards starred in the "Top Gun" films and the eighties classic "Revenge of the Nerds." Wyle is currently starring in "The Pitt," one of the year's biggest series, once again playing the role of a doctor working in an emergency room.
Clooney is still impressed by his work in 'ER'
Clooney was one of the lead stars of the series back when it premiered in 1994. He left the show in 1999, to pursue an acting career in film, but he returned throughout the season's run, including for the series finale in 2009.
In an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," Clooney opened up about the challenges of working on a series like "ER" and how malleable his brain was at the time.
"It's weird. When I did ER, we'd do 12 pages a day of medical dialogue and you could just come in and whip it out. I was 30 years old," he said. "Now I can't remember anything."
