Kim Kardashian is getting closer and closer to one of her biggest goals. The reality star, who is reportedly considering going into a legal battle with her ex Kanye West, took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) in Los Angeles on March 27, which as described by the National Conference of Bar Examiners, is usually completed before the bar, and a passing score is mandatory to practice law in the state of California.
Despite not having taken the bar just yet, the SKIMS owner has spent time focused on criminal justice reform and helping multiple people commute their prison sentences. Kim started her law journey in 2019, revealing that she wanted to follow in her late father, Robert Kardashian's footsteps.
In recent years, the businesswoman has documented her journey, and it seems she is almost ready to become a lawyer. "I would be just as happy being an attorney full time,” she confessed at the TIME 100 Summit in 2023, admitting her appreciation for criminal justice reform.
"The journey just really opened up my eyes so much. It gets overwhelming because there's so much to be done," she said at the time. Fast forward to 2021, Kim took the First-Year Law Student's Examination and shared her excitement after passing on her fourth try.
"I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!" she wrote on social media, sharing the news with her fans and followers. "Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection."
Kim continued, "For anyone who doesn't know my law school journey, know this wasn't easy or handed to me," she added, explaining that she had previously failed the exam.
"I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!!" She also reflected on the opinions she received before embarking on the journey.
“I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route but it was my only option and it feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals," she concluded.
