Concerts of Shakira's caliber spare no expense when it comes to dancers, production, or wardrobe, as fashion has become an essential element in enhancing the overall experience. Shakira understands the power of radiant looks very well, and that’s why we’ve seen her donning outfits designed by Versace or even custom jewelry by Tiffany & Co. Her visit to Mexico was no exception, as Shakira knew just how to incorporate local touches that captivated the audience; one of these was a style created by Vero Solís, a designer from Monterrey.

To pay homage to her love for Mexico, Shakira didn’t hesitate to include cultural references that delighted the crowd. One unforgettable moment was when the Colombian star chose to perform "Ciega, Sordomuda," one of her most iconic songs, in a mariachi style. To accompany this special moment, Shakira appeared on stage in a stunning Western-inspired look by Vero Solís. The outfit included a golden-toned jacket and a matching cowboy hat designed by the brand.

Both pieces of the look featured a metallic gold finish, aligning with the color palette the singer often chooses for her shows. Additionally, the design showcased brass heart motifs—a silhouette commonly found throughout Mexico, representing the iconic "Milagritos" craftsmanship. The connection between the Monterrey-born designer and the Colombian superstar didn’t end there. The designer herself later shared a photo on social media of Shakira posing in one of her brand’s signature t-shirts bearing the slogan "Mexicana de corazón" ("Mexican at heart").

Josefina, the brand led by Vero Solís, offers a wide variety of garments known for their innovative and creative designs. Blending elements of Mexican culture with pop culture, the brand creates bold and rebellious pieces. The label adopts colors, prints, and the incorporation of trends like charms and reinterprets them with a Mexican essence—a style that seems to have captivated the Colombian star.

"My beautiful Mexico, the first of seven nights and it has been amazing!!! Together we are making history and breaking records with these seven concerts in Mexico City," the singer shared.
