As the legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively continues, the 'Gossip Girl' actress has been promoting her latest project and has walked the red carpet and made public appearances, without mentioning the complicated legal issues. Meanwhile, the actor has decided to stay away from the spotlight while the battle continues.

Justin has been spotted spending quality time with his family and was recently in Hawaii. Fans of the pair have been following the legal battle closely, as both are suing each other for defamation following the star's lawsuit, which alleged sexual harassment while filming 'It Ends With Us.'

Latest update: Justin Baldoni’s team claims Blake Lively is ‘abusing the system’

Recently, Lively's legal team filed a motion to dismiss Baldoni's countersuit. On Thursday, March 20, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman issued a statement after the actress tried to remove herself from the lawsuit.

“Ms. Lively’s recent motion to dismiss herself from the self-concocted disaster she initiated is one of the most abhorrent examples of abusing our legal system,” he said in the statement, “Stringent rules are put into place to protect the innocent and allow individuals to rightfully defend themselves,” he continued. “Laws are not meant to be twisted and curated by privileged elites to fit their own personal agenda.”

Lively’s legal team responded, claiming that Freedman has “no legal arguments remotely capable of dismissing our complaint,” adding, “They have instead accepted that Ms. Lively’s complaint states valid legal claims that they could not muster a single reason to dismiss.”
