Ben Affleck is opening up about the current stage in his life. The filmmaker and actor is currently promoting "The Accountant 2," his new action film where he plays an accountant who teams up with his brother to solve a murder. It's an action role that demanded training and commitment from Affleck, who hadn't made a project like this in a few years.
In a cover story with GQ, Affleck provided readers with an update of the most recent developments that have occurred in his life, including his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, and a closer look into his family life, which he shares with his ex Jennifer Garner.
Affleck had nothing but praise for Garner. "I’m really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great and we work together well," he said.
He also shared a look at their parenting style, sharing personal stories about their kids and what it feels like for them to grow up as the children of famous parents.
"They would see something on a supermarket stand, we would say, 'Well, you know, this isn’t always true, because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories is where they said that your mom was pregnant,'" said Affleck.
The pair share three kids: Violet, Fin, and Samuel, and are often photographed in Los Angeles attending school events and spending plenty of time together as a family.
Affleck leads a life that's free of drama
Elsewhere in the interview, Affleck revealed that he doesn't mind discussing his personal life "a little," and that if people really knew him they'd see that his life is pretty unremarkable in terms of juicy gossip.
"And for all the sensational stuff that gets written, if somebody sat down and talked to me about it, and I said, 'Well, this is really the experience,' their eyes would glaze over with boredom," he said.
