Lourdes Leon is getting back into the swing of things in the music industry, and her biggest fan might be her famous mom. The 28-year-old singer, who performs under the name Lolahol, last released music in 2023, but Madonna recently revealed she has new music on the way.
Lolahol took the stage on March 15 at New York’s Night Club 10, and in the crowd was her iconic mom, who couldn’t help but gush over the moment. The "Like a Virgin" singer shared a photo of her daughter mid-performance on Instagram writing, “Little star @lourdesleon. Can’t wait for everyone to hear your new music!!! So proud of you.”
Her longtime friend and creative collaborator, hairstylist, Michael Angelo, also shared a video of Leon covering one of Madonna's famous songs, "It's So Cool" and she sounds incredible.
Lourdes made her music debut in 2022 with "Lock&Key, "a hypnotic, avant-pop track that immediately set her apart. It came with a music video that she choreographed herself, giving fans a sense of her artistic expression.
Since then, Lourdes been doing her own thing, mixing ethereal vocals with electronic beats in a way that feels fresh but still right at home in the underground scene. She released another single, "Love Me Still" in 2022 before releasing a 5-track EP, "Go" that same year. In 2023, she released two singles, "Spelling" and "Boy Next Door."
And now, with Madonna hyping up her new music, the anticipation is real to see how Lourdes changed her style over the last two years.
Lourdes' impressive, multifaceted career
While she tends to keep a low profile, every time Lourdes steps out—whether it’s for a performance, a fashion moment, or a rare red carpet appearance—she commands attention. And with new music on the way, she’s about to have even more eyes (and ears) on her.
The artist is multifaceted and is a very successful model. From lace bodysuits to daring cutouts, she’s consistently one of the most talked-about figures at Fashion Week.
She even shares the modeling gene with her father, Carlos Leon, who made his runway debut last September for Willy Chavarría. Leon has modeled for major brands like Versace, Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Mugler, and Savage X Fenty. The dancer has also been the face of campaigns for Stella McCartney x Adidas and Calvin Klein x Palace and she's walked the runway at New York and Paris Fashion Week, solidifying her presence in the industry.
2025 is gearing up to be an incredible year for the artist.
