Barron Trump is celebrating his 19th birthday. The youngest son of Donald and Melania Trump has steadily become one of the most intriguing figures in his father's presidency. As he celebrates another year, insiders have shed light on Barron's personality, describing him as an "old soul" and someone who's amassed experiences that have made him different than his college-aged peers.
Barron is described as "an old soul who is smart, well-spoken and well-read," said a source to PEOPLE.
The source brought up the heavy influence that his mother and his maternal grandparents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, have had on Barron, lending him "old-world manners."
“He has lived through experiences others his age haven't," continued the source. “He is well-grounded, he has seen a lot and he knows who he is."
Amalija died early last year, with Barron photographed in attendance at her funeral. Viktor has been photographed at many of Trump's events recently, and is one of Barron's biggest supporters, attending his high school graduation alongside Trump and Melania.
The source claimed that a lot of Barron's personality traits are due to his European side. “He isn’t as aggressive as many of his age when they are in their own social circles. He is someone who listens before talking, and is super polite."
Does Barron have a future in politics?
Following Trump's second term as President, many are wondering if Barron will opt to follow in his father's footsteps and step into politics.
While it's not out of the question, a political source who spoke to PEOPLE claims that Barron is more focused on the business side of things. “Barron is anxious to form his own companies and make money," they said.
“He shares that enthusiasm with his father, which comes as no surprise. Barron, in my opinion, knows what he wants."
