Michelle Obama is opening up about her family dynamic with Barack Obama and their time raising their two daughters, Sasha and Malia. During her latest conversation while promoting her new podcast, she shared a glimpse at her thoughts on having a third child, and an important moment of her daily routine.

Michelle talked to Kylie Kelce on the 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast, where she candidly commented on her motherhood journey. "The girls, they were good sleepers,' she explained, looking back on their routines when they were younger. "Bath time, seven-o-clock, bedtime 7:30."

“I was like, I think I've been lucky with these two. Barack was like, ‘We should have a third,’ and I was like, ‘Dude,’” Michelle said about her reaction when the former president discussed the possibility of expanding their family.

Michelle also opened up about her professional career and mentioned the commentary about her running for president, which she says she had not considered, and the reason involves her responsibilities as a mother.

“I wanted them to have the freedom of not having the eyes of the world on them," she said about Malia and Sasha. "And so when people ask me would I ever run, the answer is no. If you ask me that, then you have absolutely no idea the sacrifice that your kids make when your parents are in that role.”

The proud mother of two admitted that she is not "interested in politics in that way,” adding, “The thought of, like, putting my girls back into that spotlight when they are just now establishing themselves. I think we've done enough … they've already served their time.”
