Andre Agassi is a romantic. Followers of the rebellious tennis icon and legend often run into posts celebrating his wife's achievements and special dates. In a recent post shared on Instagram, Agassi shared a rare photo of his loves: his wife Steffi Graf, and their adorable orange cat.
The photo is a selfie taken by Graff, that shows her wearing a navy sweater and enjoying the outdoors. She's looking straight at the camera as she holds on to their cat, who's sweetly turned in her direction.
"A beauty and a stud = my loves," Agassi captioned the post.
Graff also left a comment on the post. "The Daryl," she wrote, sharing the name of their cat with the world.
Agassi and Graf share a long and romantic history
Agassi and Graf are two of the biggest tennis icons in history. The two fittingly met after they won their respective Wimbledon titles in 1992, with Agassi revealing in his memoir that he'd had a crush on her long before meeting her.
"I was thunderstruck, dazzled by her understated grace, her effortless beauty ... I tried to get a message to her after [1991's] French Open, but she didn't respond," wrote Agassi in his book "Open".
He revealed that he was excited over the Wimbledon Ball, knowing that the winners of the male and female championship traditionally shared a dance. That year, the dance was canceled after various players complained about the tradition.
"I worked them real hard to cancel it," said Graf in an interview with BBC's Inside Sports. "I've never learned how to dance the proper way... I wasn't looking forward to it in that sense."
Years later, after a divorce and the conclusion of a relationship, Agassi and Graf finally met up for a date, striking up a romance. They now share two kids: Jaz and Jaden. And their cat Daryl.
