Shakira and her ex and long-time business partner Antonio de la Rúa are still in touch and appear to be jumping back into business together. It seems like the pair reconnected after de la Rúa was spotted at one of her concerts in Argentina, and have plans to work together in the future.
Laura Fa and Lorena Vasquez discussed the relationship on the Spanish podcast "Mamarazzis", which keeps up with Shakira's comings and goings. In a recent episode, the pair claimed that de la Rúa is now working as Shakira's manager.
"We've discovered that she hired and is working with her ex Antonio de la Rúa," they said in Spanish.
"It turns out that she's retrieved him as her manager and has him included in her communications team, planning her tour, discussing sponsorships, etc. There's talks of a reconciliation going on, because the two were seen together at Shakira's concert in Argentina. Right now, they're professionally tied but not romantically."
"We'll see if they get involved romantically again, but I think it's important to note that he forgave Shakira over her infidelity with Gerard Piqué"
Shakira and Pique first met at the 2010 World Cup, around the time when she was dating de la Rúa. The pair have never confirmed nor denied the rumors, but people have speculated on the start of Shakira and Pique's relationship ever since.
