Eiza González and Aaron Paul were all smiles in Austin, Texas, as they reunited for the Ash premiere at the famous SXSW festival. The costars lit up the red carpet, posing playfully together and clearly enjoying each other’s company.
The Mexican beauty stunned in a plunging leather top cinched at the waist, paired with a flowing white skirt and knee-high black leather boots.
Paul kept the leather theme going with a rust-colored jacket, a mesh shirt, and green pants.
The gritty, action-packed thriller, directed by S.A. Halewood, follows González’s character as she wakes up on a distant planet to find her space station’s crew viciously murdered. As she investigates what happened, she sets off a terrifying chain of events. Paul plays a key role in her fight for survival.
Eiza González says she was fired once—by Big Bird
González’s career is on fire now, but there was a time when her energy wasn’t as appreciated—like when she was fired from Sesame Street as a child.
During a March 11 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, she told guest host Brooke Shields, who filled in for absent Kelly Clarkson, a hilarious story from her early acting days. The Ambulance star revealed that at just five years old, she had a brief stint on Sesame Street in Mexico—but it didn’t last long.
"I was on Sesame Street for the blink of an eye," she said. "I got kicked out. It was my first 'getting fired' moment in life." She explained that she was a hyperactive child who loved stirring things up.
She said things got so bad she even convinced the other kids on set to break into the PBS offices. "They had a mockup of the entire set, and we were jumping in it, and we broke it," she admitted. "And it was me. I got completely fired from my first job. Big Bird fired me."
