Natalie Portman is no stranger to the hardships of divorce. She and ex-husband Benjamin Millepied called it quits in July 2023 after reports surfaced of his alleged affair. Now, nearly two years later, the Black Swan star has moved on—with another Frenchman, musician Tanguy Destable.
On February 27, Portman and Destable were spotted in Paris, heading to the independent art house cinema Écoles Cinéma Club. Later that evening, they returned to Portman’s place, and in sweet photos, he was seen embracing her and even planting a kiss on her head.
This marks Portman’s first public romance since finalizing her divorce. She and Millepied share two children, Aleph and Amalia. So, who is her new boo?
His career
Born on May 23, 1980, in a commune in Morlaix, France, Destable is a musician and producer. He started his career in the early 2000s as part of the electronic and hip-hop group Abstrackt Keal Agram before going solo in 2006.
Under his stage name Tepr, he transitioned from experimental hip-hop to dance-oriented electronic music. He’s released several solo albums and an EP and has also composed music for films and video games. The successful musician has collaborated with Lady Gaga, and has been doing the soundtracks of Nicolas Ghesquière 's shows at Louis Vuitton since 2018.
His big break came with his remix of Yelle’s “À cause des garçons,” which led to him joining the band from 2007 to 2014.
Personal life
Destable was previously in a relationship with French actress Louise Bourgoin. The couple welcomed their first son in April 2016 and their second in 2020 before splitting in 2023. He told Billboard in 2017 he dedicated the track “Hello E” from his EP Inquisifunk to his firstborn son. “He was born a year ago, and I wanted to welcome him,” he told the outlet. “[The EP is] like a roller coaster, you have a lot of flavor, a lot of emotions, a lot of different feelings while listening to it.”
How long they’ve been dating
Portman and Destable were first linked in March 2025. According to PEOPLE, they’ve been spotted together in Paris multiple times, including attending a Louis Vuitton after-party during Paris Fashion Week on March 10, where Destable worked on the music for the event.
