Ivanka Trump is taking her kids to see some of the country's most important landmarks. In a new Instagram post, Ivanka shared photos of her and her family's trip to Ellis Island, one of the most emblematic symbols of freedom in the United States, located in the New York Harbor.
Ivanka's post showed herself and her family enjoying their day on the island, which can only be reached by ferry and has various attractions, including the Statue of Liberty and the National Immigration Museum, housed in the main building of the complex.
Photos showed Ivanka accompanied by her husband Jared Kushner and their kids, Arabella, Joseph, and Theo. Kushner wore navy pants and a black sweater, rounding it all off with some dark sunglasses, while Ivanka wore a brown shirt that she rounded out with a black coat.
Theo and Joseph wore matching outfits made out of black and blue puffer jackets, and khaki pants. For her part, Arabella wore jeans and a black puffer jacket, with her hair held up in a bun.
Ivanka captioned the post by sharing her bond with New York, the city where she and all of her kids were born.
Ivanka's tribute to Ellis Island
"It was very special to bring my children, each born in New York, to the very place where over 12 million began their American journey," she wrote.
"I am one of the nearly 40% of all U.S. citizens who can trace at least one ancestor to Ellis Island. Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty stand as timeless symbols of hope, resilience, and new beginnings. Grateful to share this piece of history with my children."
Ivanka's photos showed her kids and herself enjoying the attractions available on the island, showing her son Theo having the best time as he explored the National Immigration Museum, which documents a significant part of immigrant history in the country.
