Kelly Clarkson skipped her most recent episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," prompting concern from her devoted fans. The singer and "American Idol" winner has been the host of the program ever since 2019, with it becoming one of the most successful talk shows currently airing.
Earlier this week, the actor Simu Liu stepped in for Clarkson, with the show's team not providing an explanation for fans.
"I do have a confession to make — I am not Kelly Clarkson," said Liu.
"I know this may shock many of you. But Kelly actually isn't able to make it today. We're sending her our very best... I did not know that I was doing this until about five minutes ago when I arrived here to promote my new movie, 'Last Breath.'"
Liu's statements prompted concern from fans, who began to leave comments on the show's official Instagram page. "Where's Kelly Clarkson? I'm worried about her," reads one of the comments.
"Where is Queen Kelly??" wrote a second person.
Clarkson's upcoming schedule
According to a source who spoke to Entertainment Weekly, Clarkson is not sick, but her team provided no further information to explain her absence. It's unknown if Clarkson will be missing for the remainder of the week, which has guests like Jason Derulo, Michael Strahan, and Denise Richards.
Over the past week, various hosts have stepped in, including Roy Wood Jr and Michael Strahan. Clarkson has yet to share any news on her personal social media. Her most recent post was shared on February 17, promoting her upcoming May concerts in Atlantic City.
