Kim Kardashian's curves are already out of this world, but the 44-year-old just took them to new heights—literally. A 60-foot balloon of Kim is currently towering over Times Square in NYC.
Always one to go big with marketing, Kim’s latest stunt is all about her brand's new drop. The massive display features her in a blue bikini from SKIMS’ latest collection, which launches this week.
The balloon sits on a 4-foot deck wrapped in SKIMS’ signature logo, and as expected, it’s drawing plenty of attention. People walking by have been posing, snapping photos, and getting up close with the larger-than-life version of Kim K.
Of course, not everyone is impressed. Some called the spectacle “tacky AF,” “tone deaf,” and “maybe the worst product campaign launch ever,” per AOL. Even SKIMS fans had mixed feelings, with one saying, “I love Skims, and this is so awful.”
Kim, however, is living for it. She posted a shot of the balloon on her Instagram Story, writing, “OMG… I cannot believe there is a 60-foot float of me in SKIMS in the middle of Times Square.”
The launch comes after Skims shared photos from the campaign shoot in the Bahamas with Playboy photographer Ana Dias, where Kim rocked the same blue bikini as the balloon.
In a press release, she gushed about the new line, saying, “I absolutely love how this collection has something for everyone. Whether you're on vacation or at the beach, it’s all about feeling confident and amazing in what you wear.”
Kim at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Kim’s Times Square takeover wasn’t her only headline this week. She was also one of the A-list guests at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, turning heads in a white gown that had fans reminiscing about her 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries.
She enjoyed the lavish party and was spotted twinning it up with her friend, Lauren Sanchez.
Her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner were also at the event, with Kylie attending alongside her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet.
Notably absent? Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian, all seemed to have skipped this year’s exclusive bash.
