Melania Trump had all eyes on her at Capitol Hill on Monday, March 3. The First Lady, who is preparing for this year's White House Easter Egg Roll, stepped out in a tan suit, joined by Ted Cruz and Amy Klobuchar, to urge Congress to pass an "important legislation to safeguard our youth."
The First Lady has been making headlines for her bold looks. Most recently, Melania wore a black-and-white suit at the National Governors Association Evening Dinner and Reception in the East Room of the White House.
This time, Melania wore a tan suit paired with a white shirt and matching nude heels. She styled her hair in loose waves and rocked a neutral makeup look, including her signature smokey eye and a matte pink lip.
This was Melania's first solo public appearance since returning to her role as First Lady following the presidential inauguration. Melania urged Congress to pass the Take It Down Act, attending a roundtable to discuss the posting of intimate imagery online without an individual’s consent, intending to make it a federal crime.
Melania's latest appearance shows her support for the legislation, which requires the swift removal of intimate content. “I urge Congress to pass this important legislation to safeguard our youth,” the First Lady shared on Twitter/X.
“No one should have to experience the pain, humiliation, and trauma that so many Americans have at the hands of AI deepfakes,” Ted Cruz also said on social media.
During her first time as First Lady, Melania led a youth initiative called 'Be Best,' focusing on online safety, and she has now declared she intends to revive the program. Melania is also expected at the Capitol on Tuesday for Donald Trump's joint session of Congress.
Why Melania Trump will 'never be a traditional First Lady':
"She will never be a traditional first lady. That isn’t who she is," a source recently detailed to People, explaining that she has "her own ideas on what she wants to do." Melania has been working at the White House on multiple projects, as revealed by the insider.
The First Lady "has been involved with moving ahead on her own projects, and recently she has been in the White House for that." Apart from focusing on her role and being there for her son, Barron Trump, Melania has been busy working on her Amazon Prime Video documentary.
