Adrien Brody and Halle Berry just shared another kiss at the Oscars, which comes more than two decades after their original moment shocked the world.

Adrien Brody and Halle Berry shocked everyone else on the red carpet when they shared another surprise kiss at the 97th Academy Awards, which comes more than two decades after their original moment onstage.

The official Academy Awards account posted a video of the interaction to Instagram along with the caption: "A reunion 22 years in the making. #Oscars." In the clip, Berry walks over to the Best Actor nomination as he's doing interviews, and this time, she's the one who goes in for a kiss and they share an embrace.

Everyone around the pair is noticeably excited by the huge moment, immediately recognizing their nod to the kiss they shared more than two decades ago. Though there have been some people who worry about consent and whether or not the original moment is something to be celebrated, it appears both stars were more than happy to share another kiss and relive the iconic memory.

The original kiss was even more of a shock as it happened onstage, catching everyone--including Berry--by surprise. When Adrien Brody won the Oscar for Best Actor in 2003, he not only made history by becoming the youngest to ever win the award, but also by passionately kissing the presenter of the award. After hugging his mother, Brody approached the stage and ran to the podium — where he hugged Berry and kissed her on the lips for several seconds, while dipping her and supporting her head.

While some suspected the smooch was a planned stunt, Berry confirmed that she was caught off guard by the kiss in a 2017 interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. "That was not planned. I knew nothing about it," she said at the time. "I was like, 'What the f***'s happening right now?' That is what was going through my mind. And because I was there the year before and I know the feeling of being out of your body, I just f***ing went with it. But I was like, 'What the f*** is going on right now?"

Brody has also spoken about the moment, including in an interview with Variety earlier this month. "We live in a very conscious time, which is a wonderful thing," he said. "And nothing that I ever do or have done or would’ve done is ever done with the intention of making anyone feel bad."

This year, Brody is nominated for Best Actor once again, but he likely won't be sharing a moment onstage with Berry if he wins. As is tradition, last year's Best Actress winner, Emma Stone, is likely to present the award, where Brody is nominated alongside Timothée Chalamet, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, and Sebastian Stan
