Jennifer Lopez is officially a single woman after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, proving once again why she’s the epitome of red carpet glamour as she made an appearance in a jaw-dropping gold gown for a star-studded pre-Oscars party.
The singer and actress had everyone staring as she wore a sheer, figure-hugging metallic dress, showing off her iconic curves following the end of her marriage and subsequent legal separation from her longtime love. The pair rekindled their romance decades after their first engagement in 2002, tying the knot in 2022. They were married for just two years before Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024.
While showing off just how well she's doing amid the split, the 54-year-old completed her breathtaking ensemble with a shiny clutch and a classic nude manicure, letting her radiant glowy makeup do the talking. J.Lo styled her honey-blonde hair in soft waves and makeup that highlighted her signature bronzed look, elevating her natural beauty.
This appearance comes after it was reported that Ben Affleck is said to be "casually dating" following his split from the superstar. The 52-year-old actor is said to be dipping his toe back into the dating scene as he looks to move on from Lopez for a second time. But, while the star has gone on a few dates, a source told PEOPLE that finding a partner is not something that is a top priority in Ben's life right now.
"This doesn't seem to be a focus though," the insider said of dating, insisting that the movie star is "very focused on work," and "if he's not filming, he spends long days at his office."
Now that he's single, Affleck is also said to be spending a lot of time with his children, Violet, 19, and Fin, 16, and Samuel, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with the source saying that the two exes "are very close."
After filing for divorce, Lopez opened up about the ending of her fourth marriage while speaking to Interview magazine. J.Lo admitted that, "It feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary. It feels sad. It feels desperate. But when you sit in those feelings and go, 'These things are not going to kill me,' it’s like actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself. Being in a relationship doesn’t define me."
She continued, "I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself. I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, 'No, I’m actually good.'"
