Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are still sharing their love and appreciation for each other despite their split in October 2024. The pair decided to call it quits and put an end to their engagement following the premiere of their film 'Blink Twice.' But despite the breakup, the filmmaker has nothing but good things to say about her former romantic partner.
During an interview with Elle, the actress-turned-director shared a glimpse at their relationship after the split, revealing that she is excited to see where his career goes after the film, and is "grateful" about having spent time with the actor, mentioning their time on set and "journey together."
“I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much,” she said to the publication. “Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened. I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.”
The director talked about her experience working with the actor, and how she felt directing him. “It was about how exciting it would be to see him do something so different and so surprising, and something that I knew he was so capable of," she explained.
Zoë also believes Tatum “has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him. He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.”
The New York City-based star has been busy working on different projects, with Channing being involved in a series of films, which played a part in their split, as revealed by a source to People. “Channing spends a lot of time in Los Angeles because of his daughter [Everly with ex Jenna Dewan], but Zoë prefers NYC,” the insider explained, adding that the breakup “is amicable. They realized they’re at different stages in life.”
