When it comes to comments about drug use, the rep said that they have been "harmful," calling them "exhausting and pitiful," and adding that "despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive."

Justin opened up about his mental health:

The singer previously talked to GQ in 2021 about a difficult moment in his career and personal life. During an interview with the publication, he shared details about his struggles and drug use.

"There was a sense of still yearning for more," Justin told the publication. "It was like I had all this success and it was still like: 'I'm still sad, and I'm still in pain. And I still have these unresolved issues.' And I thought all the success was going to make everything good."

He continued, "And so for me, the drugs were a numbing agent to just continue to get through." Justin said he "lost control of my vision for my career" at the time.
