Jennifer Lopez just got herself a new place to start her life amid her divorce from Ben Affleck

According to reports from TMZ, the star purchased a $21 million estate in Los Angeles, planting roots in the exclusive Hidden Hills enclave where so many other celebs stay. This comes as her ex-husband set up his own bachelor pad in Brentwood.

Lopez is now the owner of a sprawling 2.5-acre estate boasts a 10,046-square-foot main house, a barn, stables, a riding arena, a guest house, and a pool. The property also features a private theater, a chef’s kitchen, and a fully equipped gym, which fans already know J.Lo will get a lot of use out of.

The lavish home also has a star-studded legacy, previously owned by Creedence Clearwater Revival founder John Fogerty, who purchased it from Sylvester Stallone before selling it to Lopez, according to the outlet. This comes as Lopez and Affleck have yet to sell their former marital home—a $61 million Beverly Hills estate they bought together in May 2023.

The former couple first tried an off-market sale, but later publicly listed the 38,000-square-foot mansion for $68 million in July. Known as Crestview Manor, the lavish estate includes a 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom main house, a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a two-bedroom guardhouse, a caretaker’s house, and a 12-car garage. The massive property also has a home bar, gym, sports lounge, boxing ring, basketball and pickleball courts, and parking for up to 80 vehicles.

The former couple happily accepted a $64 million offer from a New Jersey buyer, but the deal fell through in September, which leaves the mansion back on the market as of December 5. TMZ has reported that while the buyers remain "interested" in the property, the home remains unsold.

Apparently, the home purchase could have been a sign of an unstable relationship, with a source telling PEOPLE that Lopez and Affleck weren’t fully aligned when they bought the house. The insider said that the $68 million mansion "was Ben’s idea and a major compromise for her," noting that its layout was ideal for their blended family.

While the home may have been practical for a lot of people, Lopez reportedly preferred a more romantic, European-inspired aesthetic. Plus, even though he was the one who liked the property, Affleck is said to have ultimately found the home’s location inconvenient for his Brentwood-based life and children.

After months of speculation about the state of their marriage, Lopez filed for divorce in August, listing April 26, 2024 as their date of separation. Affleck moved into his own $20 million Brentwood home in September, moving him closer to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children together.
