Kim Kardashian is giving the haters a piece of her mind. In a new episode of "The Kardashians," Kim is seen supporting her daughter North West as she readied for her performance as Simba at the Hollywood Bowl last year. The moment was met with some controversy, with many viewers claiming that North's inclusion in the show was due to nepotism.
While Kim never publicly addressed the criticism, she had plenty to say in her reality series. “I already know what’s coming,” said Kim. “That she’s not Whitney Houston. Duh! I know that she got the job because of her parents."
Still, Kardashian makes it clear that she and Kanye West, North's father, know that people want to see the young girl perform. “North is the moment,” said Kardashian.
“They want to see North West on a TikTok, on a this, on anything. Because she’s a personality, a performer. And if anyone wants to hate on a child that having is having the time of their lives, ‘F--k you," she concluded succinctly.
North enjoyed herself, which is what matters most
North West's performance was met with some backlash at the time of its release, with some of her videos going viral. In the clips, she's seen performing one of the musical's most famous songs, "I Just Can't Wait To Be King."
Despite the criticism, Kim was incredibly proud of her daughter, especially since she had an amazing time onstage.
“It's such a proud moment as a mom to see your child have so much fun and not be nervous at all," said Kim. “She's so proud of herself. She did such a great job. And anyone that is hating on a kid is just a hater—she's not there to be Mariah Carey."
The moment prompted a reunion between Kim and her ex Kanye. While she was incredibly stressed before the performance, Kanye kept a cool head and provided some advice for the performance. "Her dad has been involved and he came to rehearsal," said Kim, revealing that she agreed with him when it came to arranging some graphics.
"It will be a better production [if you take his notes]," she said.
