Ivanka Trump is looking back at some of the precious memories she has of her mom, Ivana. The former first daughter celebrated what would have been Ivana's 76th birthday, sharing a series of throwback photos, including moments from her childhood.
Ivana passed away in July 2022 from injuries sustained as the result of a fall at her home in New York City. "Today would have been your birthday, Mom, and not a day goes by that I don't miss you," Ivanka wrote on social media, sharing photos of her mom on Instagram Stories.
The businesswoman praised her mom for her personality and charm, including photos from their family vacations. "Your brilliance, charm, passion, and wicked sense of humor continue to inspire me daily," Ivanka declared.
"You lived life to the fullest, embracing every opportunity to laugh, play, and dance," she concluded. "I miss you more than words can express and will keep your memory alive in my heart always."
Ivanka recently talked about her mom during an interview on 'The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast,' looking back at their time at New York's Plaza Hotel, where she served as the CEO. "I used to go to her every day after school, she was the CEO of the Plaza Hotel, the iconic hotel in New York, and I'd go with her on walks, and it was literally like a more well-behaved Eloise at the Plaza," she said.
"I'd run behind her and watch her do her thing. My father was the same," Ivanka continued, also praising Ivana's attention to detail at her job. "That level of crazy detail was my mother," she added.
Fans of the presidential family commented on the emotional post. "Happy birthday to your beautiful mom. You gave her the greatest gift of all and that is being an incredible human being. As mom’s, we want our kids to be happy and joyful and you exemplify that in everything you do," one person wrote, while someone else commented, "Your gorgeous smart mama!! Happy Heavenly birthday to her. I know she was so proud of her amazing children."
