Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are being attacked by strange noises. The pair had a hilarious moment at their show, "LIVE! With Kelly and Mark", where their broadcast was stalled by random sounds and the erring ring of a phone from the audience. The pair predictably had some hilarious reactions.
© DisneyOn yesterday morning's show, Ripa and Consuelos commented on the sounds that could be heard at different points on the broadcast. "What's that noise? Is that my mic?" said Consuelos, referring to a sound that sounded like a muffled microphone.
The audience at home and on set could hear the show's producer speaking, suggesting that it was his mic that was intervening with the program. "Oh my gosh, Gelman has been silenced? What? It's gonna be 44 [degrees] on Monday and Gelman's been silenced?" joked Ripa, namechecking Michael Gelman, the show's producer.
While the pair proceeded with the show as normal, they were then interrupted by an audience member's ringing phone.
© DisneyThe sound prompted a laugh from Ripa and a disapproving glance from Consuelos. "This show has hit the skids!" said Ripa, addressing the audience and prompting laughs. She then turned to the audience member whose phone rang.
"Tell your mom we'll call her back! 'I just saw you on TV!' That's how that conversation was about to go!" she said.
Ripa and Consuelos address heartbreaking loss at the show
Earlier this month, Ripa and Consuelos discussed a heartbreaking experience with their audience. The two looked emotional, with Consuelos speaking though the majority of their introduction, revealing that they'd just lost their 17-year-old dog Chewie.
When Ripa addressed the audience, her voice broke down and she apologized.
"I'm really sorry. I thought I got it all out, guys," she said. "I really thought I got it all out, and I apologize because I did not. This is not how I wanted this to go down. God, she gave us so much."
