Author Ashley St. Clair reveals she gave birth to Elon Musk's 13th child

It looks like Elon Musk has expanded his clan to a baker's dozen.

The Tesla Motors CEO welcomed his thirteenth child five months ago, according to author Ashley St. Clair. She posted an announcement to X on Friday, Feb. 14, revealing that she and Musk, 53, have a child together.

"Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world," she began in her announcement. "Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause."

She continued, "I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child's privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting."

Her post was captioned by the Latin phrase, "Alea Iacta Est," meaning "The die is cast."

St. Clair has been an outspoken supporter of conservative ideologies, best known for her children's book titled Elephants Are Not Birds. The story follows an elephant named Kevin who likes to sing, and then is convinced by a vulture — named Culture — that he warbles so well, he must actually be a bird.

Musk is also the father to Nevada, Vivian, Griffin, Kai, Saxon, Damian, X Æ A-12, Exa, Strider, Azure, Techno and his second youngest child. He first became a father in 2002 when his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, welcomed their son Nevada Alexander, who tragically died at 10 weeks old. The former couple then welcomed five more children: twins Vivian and Griffin, 20, and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, 18.

In 2020, just a couple years after Musk and singer Grimes were first romantically linked, the pair announced they welcomed their first child, X Æ A-12, 4, together. The former couple share two more children, a girl, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and a boy, Techno Mechanicus.

A few weeks prior to the arrival of Exa Dark Sideræl, the X owner also secretly fathered twins, Strider and Azure, 3, with Shivon Zilis in November 2021. Zilis--an executive at one of his companies, Neuralink--and Musk then welcomed Musk's youngest child, whose name has not been revealed, in early 2024.

Elon Musk has not yet commented on St Clair's announcement of his latest baby's arrival.
