Brad Pitt has some new ink. The Hollywood icon appears shirtless in the new teaser of "F1," the film where he plays a seasoned Formula 1 driver. In the clip, Pitt is shown shirtless, showing off his always impressive torso and the new ink that's visible and has rarely been captured on cameras.
Pitt's nude torso is captured briefly in the trailer, showing him lying down on the couch in pants and sneakers.
While the designs could be tattoos for his character, Pitt's tattoos have been photographed over the years, with him having many symbols, letters, and dates tattooed on his body that relate to his personal history.
In recent years, Pitt's tattoos have been photographed, including the silhouette of a mummy on his forearm. On his other arm, he has one of his most personal tattoos, a vertical line intersecting with a horizontal one.
On one side, he has the letter "A" tattooed, which represents Angelina Jolie. On the other side, he has the initials of his children tattooed: “M” for Maddox, “P” for Pax, “Z” for Zahara, “S” for Shiloh, “K” for Knox, and “V” for Vivienne.
He also had Jolie's birthday inked on his lower abdomen, which he appears to have lasered off. Now he only has the words "Alpha" and "Omega."
More details about 'F1'
The teaser for "F1" aired during the Super Bowl, promising a high-adrenaline film that's in conversation with the sport it's depicting. The film will premiere exclusively in theaters on June 25th and follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One driver who returns to the sport to mentor a rookie.
The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger, the team that delivered the box office smash hit "Top Gun: Maverick." It co-stars Javier Bardem and Damson Idris. The latter spoke with Vanity Fair and shared how surreal it was to make a film with various Hollywood legends.
“I look to my left, it’s Brad Pitt. I look to my right, it’s Javier Bardem. I look at my hands, they’re shaking,” said Idris. “And we shoot all of this epic stuff, and all the amazing drivers are there, from Lewis [Hamilton] to [Max] Verstappen to everyone.”
