Is Venus Williams engaged? Diamond ring sparks rumors with Andrea Preti

Venus Williams may be getting ready to walk down the aisle. The 44-year-old tennis icon has been going strong with her Italian actor and model boyfriend Andrea Preti, 36, and she was recently spotted with a sparkling diamond ring on the symbolic finger of everlasting love.

Venus had a training session in Rome, where the ring that certainly looks like an engagement ring dazzled in the sun. She had a smile on her face while they shared some PDA with Preti, who gave her some sweet smooches.

The supportive boyfriend then watched her train from the sidelines. As noted by People, the ring appears to be a square-cut center stone set in a pavé band.

Williams and Preti have been linked since at least July 2024, when they were first photographed vacationing together along Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

They confirmed their relationship when they were spotted strolling hand-in-hand in New York City in August.

Who is Preti?  

Prei was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, but raised in Italy. He has appeared in the Italian TV series A Professor and the film One More Day and has found success in both acting and modeling.

Before finding love with Venus, he dated Italian tennis player Flavia Pennetta and Italian actress Claudia Gerini.

While many celebrities love sharing huge milestones like engagements right after it happens, Venus is no stranger to keeping things private. She previously dated model Elio Pis and investor Nicholas Hammond. 

Proud Sister

While Venus has not confirmed or denied that she is engaged, she did show proud support for her sister, Serena Williams, who went viral last night after her surprise appearance at Kendrick Lamar's halftime show.

Venus shared the video on her Instagram, writing, "Lil sis killing it" with a heart and fire emoji.  

Serena, who married Alexis Ohanian in 2017, crip-walked while the artist gave one of the most powerful halftime performances.  The 43-year-old powerhouse famously dated Drake, so having her there was considered a dig at the rapper.
