Serena Williams shared her love for her friend Taylor Swift at today's Super Bowl LIX. Swift, who's been supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce throughout this football season was met with boos mid-game from the Philadelphia Eagles supporters.
Swift's face appeared in the jumbotron and was met with boos, prompting a surprised face from Swift herself. As the crowd continued to boo, Swift laughed and was seen mouthing "What is going on?"
She was sitting next to her close friend Ice Spice, who also seemed surprised by the crowd's reaction. They were joined by Swift and Kelce's family.
Swift and Ice Spice attended the Super Bowl together last year and were joined by Blake Lively, another of Swift's closest friends.
Williams was quick to share her support for Swift on X. "I love you," she wrote. "Don't listen to those booo!!"
Swift and Williams have known each other for years, with there being photos of the two together since 2016.
Williams was a half-time show star
Aside from supporting her friend, Williams also made news after she appeared in Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime performance. She was one of the big surprises of the act, which was made up of a medley of some of Lamar's most important songs, including five songs from his latest album "GNX," and some of his biggest hits, including "HUMBLE" and "DNA."
He was joined by SZA, with the two performing the songs "All the Stars" and "Luther."
Williams was captured dancing as Lamar sang his Grammy-winning song "Not Like Us." She wore an all-blue outfit made up of a skirt, a white tank top, and a blue jacket. She rounded out the look with some blue Converse sneakers.
The moment was shared by the NFL's official account. "From Compton to NOLA," they captioned the post.
