The Super Bowl is no stranger to celebrities. From Taylor Swift to Jay-Z and his daughters to Donald Trump's presidential appearance, this year's Super Bowl is packed with notorious personalities. One of them is Lionel Messi, who attended the event with his sons and watched from the stands with some of the biggest icons of Inter Miami.
Messi was photographed upon arriving at Caesar's Super Dome. He wore a cream-colored outfit made up of a sweatshirt, sweatpants, and white and grey Adidas sneakers.
He attended the match with his sons, Ciro and Mateo, who were seen holding onto their dad's hand as they all arrived at the stadium. The boys wore a black Kansas City Chiefs outfit, with the name Mahomes printed on the back, referencing the beloved quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Inside the stadium, Messi took a photo with some of his Inter Miami teammates, including Jordi Alba, Luis Suárez, and Sergio Busquets. The men smiled for the camera with their arms around each other, showing off their great seats and view of the field.
Mahomes shared his admiration for Messi
After learning that Messi would be attending the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes shared his admiration for the Argentinean icon and his wishes to emulate his achievements as an athlete.
“He's the GOAT of his profession. To have someone like that at the game would be awesome. I get to showcase who I am and what talent that I have,” said Mahomes, per USA Today.
“I got to watch him when he played in Kansas City, I think it was last year... And he had two goals in that game. And you see the greatness, the greatness that he displays every single day. And so [he’s] someone else that I can look up to and try to get to his level someday.”
