Marcello Hernandez has quickly become one of the highlights of Saturday Night Live. In an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Hernandez discussed his viral SNL character, Domingo, which he debuted on a skit with Ariana Grande.
Hernandez and his co-star Kenan Thompson discussed SNL's 50th anniversary, which will be celebrated over Valentine's Day weekend. Hernandez discussed his Domingo skit, which went so viral that it ended up with Hernandez attending Sabrina Carpenter's concert in character.
He was arrested by her on the concert's special segment. "It was insane," said Hernandez. "I had never imagined that it could be that crazy."
He and Carpenter took a picture, which they shared on social media, prompting some funny exchanges. "I put that picture up with Sabrina and then one of my aunts was like, 'And why have we not met her?'" said Hernandez, prompting laughter from the audience.

SNL's 50th anniversary will be celebrated this month, with various programs commemorating it. The “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” will air on Friday, February 14, with Fallon hosting from Radio City Music Hall.
The concert will feature performances from Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, David Byrne, DEVO, Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Jelly Roll, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Post Malone, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Robyn, The B-52s, The Roots, and more.
A special episode will air the following Sunday, February 16, lasting for three hours and featuring some of the show's iconic sketches, including appearances from guests like Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, and more.
